Kathleen P. Barton, PhD, is a Director of Chemical Process R&D at Pharmacia Corp. in Skokie, IL. Her 20 years of experience include 10 years in the Chemical Process Industries with 3M Co. and The Dow Chemical Co.; and 10 years in the pharmaceuticals industry with Marion Merrill Dow and Pharmacia. For the past 5 years she has been in an engineering management role in Pharmacia's API R&D organization. Dr. Barton is on the Visiting Committee of the UW-Madison Dept. of Chemical Engineering, and she is on the Executive Council of the North American Mixing Forum.
