2002 Chair
Kimberly Forsten Williams is the 2002 Women's Initiatives Committee Chair.  She is currently an Associate Professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (also known as Virginia Tech).  Kim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Virginia Tech,  a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign).  Prior to starting at Virginia Tech in 1995, Kim did a two year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry at Boston University School of Medicine.  Her research is in the biomedical engineering area focused on cellular engineering (http://www.eng.vt.edu/eng/che/Forsten/research.htm). Kim joined the AIChE WIC efforts in 1998, organizing the Roommate Match for the National AICHE meeting for three years and later serving as 2001 Vice Chair.
