Description:
The panel discussion will feature the benefits to be derived by students and professionals from participating in a mentoring program or an informal mentoring. The eight members of the panel consist of representation from each of the Students, Women, Hispanic, African-American, Native American Indians, Chinese, and Diversity Consultants groups. The panelists will discuss and share their views on the expectations and the roadblocks to success in the workforce environment faced by minorities. The successes and learning from the MAC-AIChE student mentoring program will be highlighted. Pathway to career advancement will also be discussed. The panelists will answer questions from the audience. There will be a reception after the presentation.
