Kimberly Forsten Williams
is the 2002 Women's Initiatives Committee Chair. She is currently an Associate Professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (also known as Virginia Tech). Kim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Virginia Tech, a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). Prior to starting at Virginia Tech in 1995, Kim did a two year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry at Boston University School of Medicine. ). Kim joined the AIChE WIC efforts in 1998, organizing the Roommate Match for the National AICHE meeting for three years and later serving as 2001 Vice Chair.
