Description:
On Tuesday, November 6, 2001, the Women's Initiatives Committee (WIC) presented a full day of activities. Please attend - starting with the morning lecture and workshop series entitled “Women Engineering Success from the Inside Out” (Session 18006).  This session began with Dr. Carol Muller of MentorNet will be "Opening the 'Black Box' of Mentoring" for us.  Third, Dr. Valerie Young offered her acclaimed workshop "Overcoming the Impostor Syndrome: A Workshop for Women".

At 12 noon, WIC's second annual luncheon was held with guest speaker Peggy Layne, P.E. of the National Academy of Engineering discussing the "NAE Program on Diversity in the Engineering Workforce.”  Afternoon session (18007) duplicated morning presentations so that AIChE Membership has the best opportunity to attend.  Following the afternoon session, the WIC business meeting was held from 5:30 - 7PM which was another great opportunity to learn how to be a part of future WIC achievements including building a WIC presence in Local Sections.
